Founded in 2016 by Master Electrician Rick Potoma, Solid State Electric Inc. is a family-owned business based in Perth, Ontario, proudly serving Smiths Falls, Brockville, Kingston, and Ottawa.
Our Founder: Master Electrician Rick Potoma
Rick holds a 309A Construction & Maintenance Electrical License, a Master Electrician License, and advanced training in PLC programming, robotics, and industrial controls from Mohawk College and George Brown College.

A recent job required a lot of outdoor work, and both Mitch and Brad worked for hours outside in rather cold temperatures to ensure that the job got completed! Living in a rural setting, we were constantly having power interruptions. No water, no lights, no heat. Summer and winter. In 2022 we made the decision to install a standby power generator system. We waited patiently for the power to go out - so we could see it work! Saturday, December 17, while preparing for a dinner party the power went out, in THREE SECONDS I was up and running!
